This little girl was traumatized by not being born with an ear and you have no idea what it is like for someone to go through something like that, ESPECIALLY a child. Not only is it harder for her to function from day to day but I'm sure she gets stared at all the time and other children probably make comments. As a child, she doesn't understand disabilities and she likely wonders what she did to deserve to be different. Brave little children like her are what directed my career goal and some of you who were on here making jokes should be ashamed because I would love to see you handle something like that. To those of you who are criticizing this story, shame on you! Just because she only had one ear doesn't mean her life would have been depressing in anyway. Most kids actually don't care about appearances it's the adults that stare the most when it comes to what I've experienced. This doctor did an amazing thing I agree but seriously many people here are over reacting she did not get a "second life". I'm pretty sure her life wouldn't have been much different.
